From E18:
“Hest i Villmark” is the name of the place where the festival is held. It is located at Gjernes, a place on Road no. 351, the coastal road between Risor and Kragero. Coming from the West you make a turn towards Sondeled just after the turnoff towards Risor. You just go through the two tunnels and make a right turn at the roundabout just after the tunnels and follow the road about 4 km to Sondeled. Where you turn right shortly after the 50km zone and follow the road no. 351 for about 20 km. There will be festival signs along this road. Coming from the East you make the turnoff from E18 at Brokelandsheia (Lyngrillen/Statoil/Cinderella) and follow the road 5-6 km towards Sondeled. Just before then 50km zone you turn left and follow road no. 351 as described above.

 
From Kragero:
Risor Bluegrass Festival is actually located quite close to Kragero and you can easily go there by taking the ferry or a taxiboat the short trip across the fiord to Stabbestad. From there you must take a taxi about 12-15 minutes to the festival. You may call the festival for more information (phones 97000055, 91718391 or 37154505) or help if you get problems:

 

From Risor:
If you do not want to follow the road to E18 and continue as described above, you may in stead take the ferry M/S Oisang (or a taxiboat) from the centre of Risor to Oysang where there will be a short 4-5 minute taxi drive to the festival.
